We lost a good friend and neighbor recently. Rick Hayes was a pedal steel enthusiast and a big music supporter in general. He loved the Eclectic Music Festival and was a frequent attendee at Wine & Song. He is so missed in the Brent Avenue neighborhood where he would frequently host holiday gatherings, serving some of his culinary favorites. He loved our backyard and always looked after it when we were away. He made fig jam and tangerine marmalade from the fruit on our trees. We'll have a song swap in his honor. He would have liked nothing more. Bring your instrument and something to sip on. We'll raise a glass to Rick Hayes and remember him always.
