On Sunday, Aug 31, at Bob & Sally Spyksma's patio oasis in Arroyo Grande, California. For this installment, host Brad Colerick will be joined by The Salty Suites and Shane Alexander. Concert is outdoors and it will likely be on the cool side. 5:00pm doors/potluck, 6:00pm music. Bring your own beverage and dish to share or just come for the music.
Chelsea Williams, Chuck Hailes, and Mark Cassidy make up the dynamic, eclectic, and highly captivating three-piece acoustic Americana band The Salty Suites. They are known for their energetic performances and ability to cross musical genres, from jazz to pop. Their first official show together was in a high security prison. Thirteen years, four albums, and a pandemic later, they remain a close-knit dysfunctional family of misfits.
Known for his intimate tenor, signature guitar style and moody melodies, Los Angeles-based Shane Alexander has shaped a distinctive career for himself with his evocative indie folk and acoustic rock. Having toured extensively in the U.S., Europe and Canada since 2005, the fiercely independent artist has developed a loyal international fanbase. His smooth vocal style has drawn comparisons to Jeff Buckley, Jackson Browne and Art Garfunkel.
Brad Colerick has been presenting the Wine & Song concert series since 2009. It happens most every Wednesday night in South Pasadena. And occasionally he takes the show on the road. Billboard Magazine called him “one of a baker’s dozen of acts to watch in the folk community around the world.”
