Born and raised in the Chicago area, Raspin Stuwart was surrounded by the influences of the blues and jazz greats of the era, as well as the popular singer-songwriters of the 70’s. His music is equally informed by his life in Los Angeles since arriving in the City of Angels at the tender age of 17. Raspin’s emotional vocals and striking lyrics are a stark contrast to his often hypnotic accompaniment. He’ll be joined by The Eldermen — Kim Margolis and Robin Hild. Ojai-based Natalie Gelman grew up surrounded by classical music. She studied violin and attended the famed LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts. She even performed at Carnegie Hall in those early days of her career. But deep below Carnegie Hall in the New York City subway system was where she really honed her performing skills. Her latest release Moth To The Flame is a sublimely melodic and heartfelt blend of finely crafted songs with emotionally raw lyrics and storytelling.
